Submissions
Submissions for presentations (by a 6,000-word full paper) and symposia (by extended abstract) will open from 20th May to 14th October 2019. Please note the deadline for submissions has been extended until 24th October 2019 (updated on 8/10/19).
Oral presentations
We welcome both empirical and conceptual full papers (up to 6,000 words excluding references and tables) grounded in various disciplinary and methodological traditions.
All submissions meeting the conference requirements will undergo double-blind peer review. They will be assessed based on their originality, rigour, critical thinking, relevance to organisation of healthcare, and potential to make a strong contribution to theoretical and/or practical knowledge.
As in previous years, we will seek to publish selected papers from the conference in an edited book and a special issue of Journal of Health Organization and Management.
Symposia
We welcome proposals (up to 1,500 words excluding references and tables) for two types of 90-minute symposia:
- Panels, engaging a group of panelists in a formal interactive discussion around a theme or question relevant to the field
- Interactive workshops, creatively engaging the audience members in debate, simulation and/or learning activities
All proposals will undergo single-blind peer review. They will be assessed based on overall quality, interest to the OBHC audience, innovation, creativity and potential to generate learning.
Please do check the formatting guidelines, as submissions that do not follow the guidelines or submission formatting requirements may not be reviewed. Submissions will be withdrawn if the author/presenter has not registered by 18th March 2020.
