Doctoral Workshop

We are very pleased to announce that Joanna Rawles, Open University and Dharman Jeyasingham, University of Manchester will lead a doctoral workshop on 9th September.

Some colleagues submitted their abstracts to present at the Doctoral Workshop at the JSWEC September Conference in the main call for Conference abstracts. Many thanks for these.

We wanted to make sure that all who want to submit have the opportunity to apply to present their work however and so we have kept open the electronic submission link specifically for doctoral abstract submissions.

This is a further call for abstracts from PhD/Doctoral students to present at the Doctoral workshop from 2pm – 4.30pm on Monday 9 September. For this oral presentation you do not need to specifically adhere to the themes of the conference. You can either present an overview of your work so far or focus on a specific aspect of your Doctorate about which you might want feedback from others or tips and ideas for a way forward. You should submit your abstract of up to 300 words here.

The workshop will also include a session on publishing from your research and other input to support your Doctoral journey.

We will organise the session to accommodate as many colleagues presenting as possible. If we have a large number of people we will offer the option for some people to present via posters displayed at the venue.

The closing date for the submission of abstracts is 22 July 2019. We will confirm whether you will be invited to do a presentation or a poster by 29 July 2019.

Some bursaries will be available to help support your attendance at this event. If you wish to apply, please complete and return the application form.
